Il Fagiano is a long-standing customer favourite made for us by Dario Bové. He’s the award-winning winemaker behind our ever popular Averys Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. And if you like that wine, you will love Il Fagiano. It’s also 100% Montepulciano, but richer, fuller, and more serious in style. This terrific Italian red has been enchanting customers for nearly 12 years and has become a household staple for many. Ripe, velvety and packed with spicy bramble fruits, cherry and plum, with a touch of spice and dark chocolate. Il Fagiano is robust and food friendly with rich ripe, mocha fruit balanced by fresh acidity. An ideal wine to enjoy as a glass on its own or with a midweek supper of pizza or fresh tomato pasta.
